The questions Charlotte dog parents ask us most.
Do you need water or power from my house?
Nope — our van is fully self-contained. We bring fresh hot water in our onboard tank and run on our own generator. All we need is about 25 feet of curb or driveway.
What vaccines does my dog need?
Current rabies (must be at least 48 hours post-shot) is required. We'll also ask for bordetella and DHPP records — you can upload them when you book.
How long does grooming take?
60–90 minutes for most dogs. We groom one dog at a time, so your pup gets our full attention from start to finish — no waiting in a cage between steps.
Is mobile better for anxious or senior dogs?
Yes — dramatically. No other dogs barking, no cages, no transport stress, and your dog is groomed in a familiar environment with one person. It's why most of our clients found us.
Where do you park?
Your driveway or curb works. We need roughly 25 feet of straight space and a level spot. We'll text you 30 minutes before arrival.
What's your cancellation policy?
Free reschedule or cancellation up to 24 hours before your appointment. Inside 24 hours we charge a $25 fee — we hold your spot specifically for you.
How do I pay?
Card, Apple Pay, or Zelle right after the groom. We don't take a deposit at booking — you only pay when your pup is back in your arms, fresh and fluffy.
Do you handle severe matting?
Yes, humanely. If your dog is severely matted, we may need to shave down rather than de-mat (brushing through tight mats is painful). We'll text you photos and discuss options before any cuts.
What's your service area?
Free within a 15-mile radius of 28203 (covers most of Charlotte plus Matthews, Mint Hill, Pineville, and parts of Huntersville). Outside that we add a flat $15 travel fee — never a surprise.
Are you really insured?
Fully licensed, insured, and bonded. We're happy to share certificates on request — every Pawsh groomer carries professional liability and care-custody-control coverage.
