Accessibility Statement
Pawsh is committed to making this site usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or other assistive tools.
What we've done
- The site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance.
- All interactive elements (links, buttons, dropdowns, the booking form) are keyboard-operable. Press Tab to navigate, Enter or Space to activate.
- The mega-dropdown navigation is built with ARIA roles and supports Esc-to-close and arrow-key item navigation.
- All images include descriptive alt text (or are marked decorative when appropriate).
- Color contrast on body text meets WCAG AA (4.5:1) and most large text meets AAA (7:1).
- The site respects the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting and disables non-essential animations. - Form fields have visible labels and accessible focus rings.
What we know isn't perfect
- The third-party booking calendar (GoHighLevel) has its own accessibility profile we don't control. If it isn't working for you, call us at (571) 739-5771 and we'll book your appointment by phone.
- The third-party map embed (Google Maps) inherits Google's accessibility settings.
- We are working toward AAA on every text/background pair, not just the body text default.

How we're tested
We test the site with NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS & iOS), and TalkBack (Android) before each major release. We also run automated audits (axe-core, Lighthouse) on every deploy. The current site scores 95+ on Lighthouse Accessibility on every page.
If you'd like a copy of our most recent accessibility audit, email hello@pawshcharlotte.com and we'll send it within 7 days.
